Psychological Services
The Cooperative's psychological services are designed to make available
to parents, teachers, administrators, and children the unique skills and
specialized knowledge of the school psychologist.
The objective of these services is helping all children reach their
maximum potential, become happy, secure, successful persons who can enjoy
themselves, others, and the world around them.
Who are served?
All children, adolescents, and young adults regardless of their
individual needs are served. Assistance is provided as a joint venture
with parents, teachers, and administrators. Services are available for
the "average" student as well as those considered gifted with advanced
ability or those in need of help due to educational or behavioral
difficulties. |

Available Services: |

Counseling and Direct Therapy: Direct
assistance to individual or small groups of children to enhance
adjustment or development. |

Consultative Services: Direct
consultation with parents, teachers, and administrators to
enhance student adjustment or achievement; in-service workshops;
member of an interdisciplinary team. |

Psychological and Educational Assessment: Formal
and informal assessment with children, adolescents, and young
adults to obtain information needed for decisions about
screening, classification, placement, services, and
interventions. |

Crisis Intervention Team: Management,
planning, leadership, and direct psychological therapy services. |
|
Academic Planning and Advisory Services:
Designing, developing, and implementing educational programs.
Planning behavioral strategies for schools or individual
students. Developing programs to assist young adults transition
from school to the world of work. |
